Fans react to Bo Nix trucking a Jets defender
In the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the New York Jets in London, Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix picked up six yards on the ground and he finished off his run by trucking Jets cornerback Jarvis Brownlee.
Brownlee was shaken up on the play and left the field before later re-entering the game. After an eventual 13-11 win, Nix was asked how it felt to lower his shoulder at the end of his run.
“It was good, it happened pretty quick,” Nix said. “Usually in that situation, [I] try not to take a hit, but [he] got off the block and it was kind of a bang-bang play and I definitely don’t wanna be the one to get hit. I’d rather be the one doing the hitting.”
Here’s a sampling of how fans and pundits reacted to the play:
Nix finished the day with 174 passing yards, one touchdown through the air and 24 yards on the ground. Denver will now return home to host the New York Giants at Empower Field at Mile High in Week 7.
