The gameplay trailer debuted on July 9, 2013, just over two months before the game’s release on September 17, 2013. In comparison, Red Dead Redemption 2 had its first teaser on October 18, 2016, the second trailer on September 28, 2017, and the third trailer on May 2, 2018, approximately five and a half months prior to its October 26, 2018, launch.

Now, the official release date for GTA 6 has been confirmed for May 26, 2026. The window for receiving a third trailer for the title lies between December 2025 and January 2026. However, this speculation is only for the hype trailer.

If you’re looking forward to gameplay, you can expect a dedicated trailer for that a few months before the official release. As for Red Dead Redemption 2, the gameplay was revealed only two months before the final release.

However, take all this with a grain of salt, because Rockstar can change their mind anytime. For instance, the third trailer for Red Dead Redemption was only two months before the official release. Since there’s a lot of hype behind GTA 6, Rockstar can keep us on the edge of our seats.

However, most of them agree that the next trailer could be unveiled around December 2025 as well.
